The International Science Grid this week (iSGTW) magazine in the Article e-IRG Workshop: putting users in the driving seat refers to the participation of Núria Bel, principal investigator of the IULA TRL group, in the meeting of the e-Infrastructure Reflection Group (e-IRG), which took place last May in Dublin, Ireland.
About a hundred delegates from 23 different countries were invited to debate the best policies for coordinating the future European e-infrastructure, open and innovative.
Dr. Núria Bel presented the work carried out at the Institute in the development of web services as a key piece of the infrastructure for the humanities and social sciences (www.clarin.eu), and strategic technology areas as the Machine Translation (www.panacea-lr.eu). These services will form part of the future IULA-UPF-Clarin Competence Center, which is being built in the framework of an agreement between the Secretaria d'Universitats i Recerca del Departament d'Economia i Coneixement de la Generalitat de Catalunya and Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) with cofinancing from the European Regional Development Fund (FEDER).
